Creating

In 2019, I started playing my first organized game of Dungeons and Dragons with a group of close friends. We would meet up on Wednesday evenings, sharing snacks and cocktails, and began a winding adventure across unknown lands. Telling stories that no one else would ever hear. Experiencing epic successes and failures that would live in a moment, and vanish with the roll of the dice. I made my first dice in early 2020. With a combination of skills gathered from projects completed at WIT as well as lessons from the creator Rybonator on Youtube. 3D Printing dice masters on a small desktop 3D Printer, making rough silicone molds, and slowly but surely improving my craft and quality over the months that would become the start of Covid Lockdown. I didn't start selling my creations until necessity demanded it. I was spending so much money perfecting the craft, investing in better equipment and materials, that I decided to open a small Etsy page as a way of paying for the hobby. And so The Humble Dragon was born. Things changed further when I was let go from my previous full time position at Contour Design. Faced with the choice of finding another job or taking a chance on my passions, I chose to Roll the Dice To date I've crafted an estimated 80,000 individual dice. Dice that range from ordinary colorful sets, to dice with unique 3d modeled inclusions, and even giant D20's. All showcasing the years spent honing my craft to create items of functional art.
